Qualified help through collegial cooperation

Patients are frequently referred to our specialist orthodontic practice for orthodontic measures. In collegial cooperation we form a treatment team with your dentist that can provide qualified help even with very complex problems.

Thanks to their training and many years of experience, our specialist orthodontists are able to deal professionally with all the demands of current orthodontics and to avoid complications.

Discussing the findings on the basis of an X-ray image and a dental model

What you should bring to the examination appointment

If you are referred to us as a patient, please bring the referral form from your doctor with you.

Records that already exist and were produced elsewhere help us to advise you optimally and to plan the therapy swiftly – and spare you unnecessary duplicate examinations.

Initial consultation and initial examination

If a dentist refers your child to the orthodontist – or if you would like an assessment of your own misaligned teeth – the statutory health insurers in Germany generally cover an initial consultation and the initial orthodontic examination to clarify whether treatment is necessary.

Do get in touch: we will explain to you in plain language what the findings are, which treatment paths are possible and what costs you may face.

The key facts at a glance

  • Referred patients are looked after in a treatment team together with their family dentist.
  • The referral form and all records already available are part of the examination appointment.

  • Records that are already available avoid unnecessary duplicate examinations and shorten the path to planning.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to bring to my first orthodontic appointment?
Please bring your referral note, your health insurance card and all the documents you have: X-ray images, ideally digitally on a data carrier, CT or CBCT scans, MRI images, findings from previous treatments as well as surgical and medical reports.
Can I come without a referral?
Yes, an appointment is also possible without a referral. If you have been referred, please bring the referral note with you – we will then coordinate the treatment directly with your dentist.
Does health insurance pay for the first examination at the orthodontist?
To establish whether orthodontic treatment is necessary, the statutory health insurers as a rule cover the initial consultation and the first orthodontic examination. Anything beyond that we discuss with you in advance.
Can I bring old X-ray images so that no new ones have to be taken?
Yes, that is expressly welcome. Existing images spare you unnecessary duplicate examinations and help us to plan the treatment promptly. Please bring digital images on a data carrier.
